I was a volunteer with the AFSC Peace Caravan of summer 1956 and also finished the summer hired by the Middle Atlantic regional office in Philadelphia, In 1959, I volunteered in the summer as a boys counsellor at the interracial work camp in Swananoa, North Carolina with the Southern Fellowship of Churchmen. I finished the summer of 1959 as a volunteer for three weeks at the, Embreeville state hospital AFSC college volunteer group in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
